On a wonderful Saturday afternoon, Upper Clatford Youth FC came together for one of the most anticipated events in our calendar — a charity match pitting our dedicated Coaches and Managers against the Parents of our brilliant youth players. The result? A fantastic occasion that reminded us all why we love this club so much.

The Coaches and Managers ran out victorious on the day, though if the smiles on the faces of both teams were anything to go by, everyone was a winner. The parents gave a tremendous account of themselves, and there was no shortage of passion, effort, and the odd moment that raised a laugh from the touchline. It’s fair to say that some of our coaches were keen to prove they’ve still got it — and on this occasion, they did just that!

But the real story of the afternoon wasn’t the result — it was the incredible show of community spirit that surrounded it. Families, friends, and supporters turned out to cheer on both sides, creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere that perfectly captures what Upper Clatford Youth FC is all about. From the youngest spectators to the most seasoned touchline veterans, it was a day that brought everyone together.

And the numbers speak for themselves. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who came along, donated, took part in fundraising activities on the day, and supported the event in any way, we are absolutely delighted to announce that a total of £686.38 was raised — every single penny going directly to the club.

As a registered charity, Upper Clatford Youth FC relies on the goodwill and generosity of the families and individuals who make up our community. Funds like these make an enormous difference — helping us to maintain and improve facilities, support our youth programmes, purchase equipment, and ensure that we can continue to provide a welcoming and high-quality environment for every young player who walks through our gates.

To every parent who laced up their boots and gave their all on the pitch — thank you. To our coaches and managers who organised and took part — thank you. To every volunteer, helper, and supporter who made the day run so smoothly — thank you. And to each and every person who dug deep and donated — a huge, heartfelt thank you.

Days like these are a powerful reminder that Upper Clatford Youth FC is so much more than a football club. We are a community, and together we achieve incredible things.

We hope to make this an annual fixture — so to the parents out there, consider this fair warning: the coaches are already looking forward to defending their title next year!

Thank you to everyone who made 28 March 2026 such a special day. We are incredibly proud of Upper Clatford Youth FC and the people who make it what it is.
